Itinerary
Day 1: Delhi - Leh
On arrival at Delhi airport, take flight to Leh. On arrival in Leh, check-in at the hotel and have the breakfast. Rest day is free just relax and keep your body to adjust the high altitude. Overnight stay.
Day 2: Leh
After breakfast, proceed to visit Alchi Monastery. It was established between 958 - 1055 AD, located on the banks of Indus river. Alachi’s not really a Gompa, but a Choskhor, a scared enclave and a Buddhist centers of learning, houses some old miniature paintings.
On the way, drive the Magnetic Hill- It is the one of the most famous attraction of the Leh & Ladakh region. Gravity hill has strong magnetic properties and cars are automatically pulled downhill and Nimu valley. Here you can take some photographs at the confluence of Rivers Zanskar and Indus in Nimu. Thereafter, continue to the monastery.
While returning to the hotel, visit Military Hall of Fame- a museum was founded and maintained by the Indian Army. It consist of the knowledge about Leh and Ladakh and its history, culture and also the information about the flora and fauna of this region. Contains the data about military ammunition used by the Indian army in its various battles with Pakistan is on display, and also has a display on the Siachen battlefield. Return to the hotel at late evening. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3: Leh - Nubra Valley
After breakfast, proceed to Nubra Valley which is located at the distance of 115 kilometer via the famous Khardongla Pass, which is the highest motorable road in the world, placed at an altitude of 18360 feet. Enjoy the stunning views. The Valley is also called the Valley of the flowers, which contained the vibrant, colourful and the most beautiful flowers set amidst lush green landscape. It is also one of the most famous attraction of the Leh Ladakh. Upon arrival check in to the hotel. After freshen up, Afternoon is scheduled for a visit to Hundur and Diskit monasteries, placed at a small distance from each other. Both are popular Buddhist monasteries of Nubra. Next visit is to the white sand dunes where you partake in Camel Safari on double-humped camels, found only in Nubra. Back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Nubra Valley - Leh
Post breakfast, transfer for visiting Samstanling Monastery- it is popular for its alluring ambiance and assembly halls with artifacts. Return to Leh via Khardung La. The evening is explore the local markets of Leh, where you can get your hands on some authentic items of Ladakh region along with Kashmir such as wood carvings, Pashmina shawls, Masks, pearls, handicrafts and more. Overnight stay at Leh.
Day 5: Leh - Pangong Lake
Today post breakfast, drive to Pangong Lake, also known as Pangong Tso. Pangong Tso is located at the height of 4350 meters approximately from the sea level which extends from India to Tibet. It is about 150 kilometres from Leh. About 60% length of the lake are situated in Tibet. En route, visit Durnuk and Tangtse villages. In afternoon arrival at the Pangong Lake. Set your camps here. Take a panoramic view of surroundings which are extremely soothing, watch the colorful birds and visit the local village and closely know about the local culture of Leh region. Stay overnight in Camp.
Day 6: Pangong - Leh
Post breakfast, drive back to Leh. Upon arrival in Leh, check-into the hotel. After freshen up proceed for sightseeing of Leh, includes Shanti Stupa- Santi stupa is located from 5 kilometres away from the Leh, it was constructed by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu, Gyomyo Nakamura in 1991 and it was inaugurated by the 14th Dalai Lama, Leh Palace- Leh Palace I located the old town sits in the shadow of a hill. This 19 stories high Leh Palace was constructed in 1553 AD and it was the one of the highest building of the world .It was the residence of the royal families until 19th century, Hall of Fame Museum- founded and managed by the Army in the memory of war heroes. Overnight stay at Leh.
Day 7: Leh – Delhi
In morning after breakfast at your hotel you will be drivento Leh Airport to board your connecting flight for the onward journey with Sweet and Happy Memories
